The Bambi-eyed Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt thinks Swedish stimulus would be a blunt weapon.

The Swedish premier has been criticizing the US Stimulus packet while he has rejected demands that Sweden do their part to stimulate the economy.

Prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said a few weeks back:
"They want us to believe that increasing public expenses is a magic cure while no such magic cure exists. We reject demands on government-financed stimulus that will ruin our national economy. National stimuli is a blunt instrument that will not create so many jobs."

Yet the Industry minister Maud Olofsson proclaimed today, as she was commenting jobs cut at Volvo: “We just have to wait and see what effect the stimulus packets in Europe and the US will have. We should see increased demand as the planned infrastructure projects get started.”

It seems that Sweden has chosen to winter the recession by sitting on a high horse and criticizing the rest of the world. They are quick to point out the mistakes made by the civilized nations who stand for the sacrifices, and who bleed to save the global economy. Yet the Swedes already stand with their tongues sticking out, ready to suck up the benefits from the sacrifices made by everyone else.

If you think it sounds a lot like WWII, it's because it does.

Swedish Cops Strike [Their Privates] Again!

One of the badly photoshopped fakes that have surfaced on the Internet.

The Swedish Riot Police Officers caught a while ago 'dramatizing homosexual relations' with a male prostitute are reported to have a history of such drama. The nine apparently enjoyed airing their private nightsticks during mutual naked workout sessions in the Police Gym.

The gym is also open for female officers, as the Swedish media a little naively points out -- Could we presume that any female walking in would only serve to distract the boys playing. Bring out the softer side of the Swedish Police Officers, so to say.

A more appalling detail describes the officers butt naked making sandwiches for their instructors. Photos later emerged of a naked cop throbbing the sandwiches with his penis.

Previously, after having been caught pants down with a male prostitute, the nine officers were reported to be 'deeply regretful.' Today, all nine are in active duty and carry weapons. They risk a warning from the Police Disciplinary Board who are reported to be looking into their conduct.

Smorgastarta, the kind of Swedish party sandwich the naked cops are reported to have lovingly prepared for their instructors.

In Case You Haven't Noticed: You're Dead!

The Swedish National Health Insurance Agency sent a while ago a letter to a woman informing her about her death. The woman who was seriously ill with cancer but hanging in there, was surprised to find out that she was dead to the state. 'We regret the error,' the Agency is reported to have commented later, 'she has accidentally been sent a letter intended for someone else.'

Am I alone to wonder to whom was the letter intended? To some actually dead woman with similar name whom the Agency suspected had trouble finding her way into the Light? Your tax krona at work!

The Swedish medical care is, according to the victims reporting in the blogosphere, in worse shape than the sick it has abandoned. At least everyone agrees it is nowhere near what the Swedes have hyped it up to be. The Swedes dying alone and abandoned do have one solace: A post mortum form letter from the health Insurance Agency to look forward to. Always something .

City to Kids: Speak Swedish or Get Out!

The children in municipal after school programs in Malmö, Sweden, are only allowed to speak Swedish. The ones speaking their native language are reported to be punished or asked to leave.

The interviewed head of the program offers an incoherent and irrelevant explanation referring to their rules: The children are to respect one another, and violence is not tolerated. Anyone breaking these rules will first get a warning, and for a repeat offense the child will have to leave for fifteen minutes.

One is left to wonder, whether the children expressing themselves in their own language is considered violent or disrespectful. For those of us more concerned concerned about the municipality not respecting a fundamental human right of the children, the statement seems a sorry excuse for double standards.

Nine Cops and a Male Prostitute Caught Pants Down

The Nine Swedish Riot Police Officers who were caught with their pants down with a male prostitute are back on the streets.

It has been a few weeks since the nine police officers threw a party in a cabin outside the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. An instructor would eventually find them naked ‘dramatizing some sort of homosexual relationship*’

The ‘game’ is reported to have the bunch of 30-40 year old men getting out of their uniforms and play naked with their weapons – Police issued sub-machine guns. An additional hired gun, a male prostitute, had been paid to attend.

Getting off on Police Brutality?

The nine ‘deeply regretful’ cops have today resumed their duties. “We trust them to the extent that they can perform full regular active police duty,” says Eric Nord, Commander of Field Duty Officers. He does not mention whether the prostitute has returned to his active duties as well.

SAS SK 2867 Crash is Gettin Ugly

October 27th 2007, SAS flight SK2867 crashed on landing due to the starboard landing gear failure. Only minor injuries to the passenger and crew were reported.

Following the incident, SAS and the Danish Board of Civil Aviation (SLV) blamed Bombardier, the Canadian manufacturer of the Dash Q400 plane, for the incident. "We have no confidence on this model anymore," proclaimed SAS President and CEO Mats Jansson in the media.

SAS consequently got rid of the Q400 fleet—to the beat of their own badmouthing campaign against the plane manufacturer. Bombardier eventually chose to pay up the bulk of the total SEK 1.5 billion replacement cost, 1.1billion*, to shut them up. "We are very satisfied with the settlement,” Mats Jansson said.

Today, the Danish newspaper Berlingske Tiende reports that SLV has known since 2007 that the most likely cause of the incident was SAS own faulty maintenance. Peter Udsen, a mid-level manager in SLV, has in a number of e-mails in 2007-2008 pointed this out. "Your personal opinions are of no consequence," his superiors are reported to have responded. Udsen soon resigned from SLV.
